Ras - ... name of a protein, the gene that encodes it, and the family and superfamily to which it belongs. Proteins in the Ras family are very important molecular switches for a wide variety of signal pathways that control such processes as cytoskeletal integrity, proliferation, cell adhesion, apoptosis, and cell migration.
Aurora Kinase - Aurora Kinases are serine/threonine kinases that are essential for cell proliferation. The enzyme helps the dividing cell share its genetic materials with its daughter cells.
Peroxisome - Peroxisomes are ubiquitous organelles in eukaryotes that function to rid the cell of toxic substances. They have a single membrane that separates their contents from the cytosol (the internal fluid of the cell) and that contains membrane proteins critical for various functions, such as importing proteins into the organelles and aiding in proliferation.
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor - In cell biology, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are a group of nuclear receptor isoforms that exist across biology. Originally identified in Xenopus frogs as receptors that induce the proliferation of peroxisomes in cells, they are intimately connected to the cellular metabolism (carbohydrate, lipid and protein) and cell differentiation.
Stem Cells - The international journal of cell differentiation and proliferation, including experimental protocols for embryonic stem cells research. Includes forthcoming article titles, abstracts and search for full text available by registration and subscription to AlphaMed Press.
Van den Heuvel Lab - Research group focusing on the cell-cycle entry and exit control, the relationship between proliferation and differentiation, and the mechanisms of asymmetric cell division. Lists members, publications, meetings and location near Utrecht, The Netherlands.
SBH Sciences - Promoting collaboration and outsourcing to develop cell culture processes, including proliferation and neutralization bioassays, using their cytokines and growth factors in cell culture media, from manufacturer at Natick, MA.
