Concurrent jurisdiction - Concurrent jurisdiction exists where two or more courts from different systems simultaneously have jurisdiction over a specific case. This situation leads to forum shopping, as parties will try to have their lawsuit heard in the court that they perceive will be most favorable to them.
Concurrency (computer science) - In computer science, concurrency is concerned with the study and design of systems which consist of computations that execute overlapped in time (including running in parallel), and which may permit the sharing of common resources between those overlapped computations. The design of such concurrent systems often entails finding reliable techniques for coordinating their execution, data exchange, memory allocation, and execution scheduling in such a way as to minimize response time and maximise throughput.
