Intercept message - An intercept message is a telephone recording which replaces generic recordings with customized messages, such as repeating the number of a disconnected line, then reciting the new number. The first automatic intercept systems used rotating magnetic drums containing multiple recorded phrases, with a computer or mechanical control system playing phrases in the proper sequence.
Intercept method - The Intercept Method, or Marc St Hilaire method, is an astronomical navigation method of calculating an observers position on earth. The method gives the observer a position line on which the observer is situated.
Third-order intercept point - In telecommunication, a third-order intercept point (IP3) is a point (a) that is an extrapolated convergence--not directly measurable--of intermodulation distortion products in the desired output and (b) that indicates how well a receiver performs in the presence of strong nearby signals.
Y-intercept - The y-intercept in 2-dimensional space is the point where the graph of a function or relationship intercepts the y-axis of the coordinate system.
